Football following - Real Madrid coach, Jose Mourinho, assess counter draw Manchester United is not a bad thing. He believes the two teams are still equal opportunities.
Madrid failed to beat Manchester United in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 at the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday (14/02/2013). Los Merengues had to accept a draw with the score 1-1.
In the game, Manchester United went ahead through Danny Welbeck. But not long after, Madrid equalized with Cristiano Ronaldo.
"The game or the result is not a surprise," said Mourinho told Sky Sports 2.
"Basically, my guess is appropriate, in which everything is still open, it is open for the second leg. I think this will be decided until the last minute," he added.
The second leg will be held at Old Trafford on March 5. To qualify for the quarterfinals, Madrid needed to win or draw with a score of more than 1-1.
"If you are asking me about the percentage (chance), I will not change the score.'s Still 50/50. We could have scored more than one goal in there," said Mourinho.
"Now is the time to go to Old Trafford. I think 1-1 is not a bad result because everything is still open and we could have scored more than one goal in there," he said.
