Misfortune experienced midfielder Manchester United, Luis Nani after doing exercises with the team in Carington, Friday, February 15, 2013 local time. When Nani would go home, suddenly his Bentley Continental was hit by a police car.
The incident occurred in Gatley Road, Stokport, at around 18:40 local time. Nani car and the police car was severely damaged. However, a passenger in the police car suffered minor injuries.
"A police car has no sign of responding to emergency calls and Gatley drove along the road, at the junction of Kingsway, Stockport. The driver police have now been suspended from driving duties in accordance with the procedure, "said a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police.
"I can see Bentley was on the sidewalk near the traffic lights. I wonder who's driving the Bentley. Apparently there was Nani with all amenities training. He seemed a bit surprised, "said eyewitness alone as reported by the Manchester Evening News.
Nani was very lucky because the accident did not cause him serious injury. Nani is expected to play a match against Reading in the FA Cup last 16, on 19 February.
