Wenger Confident 99% Walcott Will Teken New Contract
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, Theo Walcott are confident will stay at the club and sign a new contract. He hopes Walcott will affix his signature at the end of this week.

Contract Walcott at the Emirates Stadium a few months remaining. Until now, the Walcott and Arsenal continue to negotiate a contract extension.

Telegraph reported that the two sides were close to an agreement, in which Walcott will get a new contract duration of three and a half years with a salary of close to 100 thousand pounds per week.

"(About the new contract) has not been completed, but hopefully it will be finished by the end of this week," said Wenger.

"It's possible. Optimism me now 99 percent," he said.

Wenger explained that he had been worried about Walcott will not sign a new contract and go to another club. Case Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie be a lesson for him.

"At certain moments, I was afraid she would go because of the experience that I felt in such negotiations. When things go too long, it's not a good sign," he said.
